Job summary

Oranga Tamariki in Auckland is seeking a qualified Supervisor to lead the Waitakere Care & Protection team. This permanent, full-time role involves supervising social workers, travelling as needed, and shaping practice to improve tamariki outcomes.

The ideal candidate is SWRB-registered with strong leadership, relationship-building and risk-management capabilities, plus a deep commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Tikanga Māori.

Qualifications

• Full registration with NZ Social Work Registration Board (SWRB) and an Annual Practising Certificate
• Understanding of Tikanga Māori principles
• Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
• Driver's licence (full, clean)
• Experience managing social work teams and projects
• Ability to travel around the region as required
