Job summary

New World Whitianga, part of Foodstuffs North Island, is seeking a Produce Manager to own the department and lead the team in delivering fresh, full, and appealing displays for customers.

You will manage ordering, stock levels, and the product range while coaching staff and ensuring food safety and safety standards are met. Applicants must be a New Zealand citizen/resident or hold a valid work visa.

Qualifications

• Proven management or 2IC experience in retail.
• Strong understanding of seasonal produce and category management.
• Experience using SAP systems.
• Ability to handle fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day running of Produce department.
• Manage ordering and stock levels through in-store systems.
• Control department costs in line with store expectations.
• Ensure right product range for customers.
• Keep shelves full, displays sharp, and quality top-notch.
• Managing ordering, stock levels, and reduce waste.
• Coach and support your team to bring their best every day.
• Ensure food safety and Health & Safety standards are met.
