Job summary

CDC Data Centres is seeking a Construction Manager in Auckland to lead the delivery of our data centre construction projects on time and within budget. You will oversee the client‑side team for Silverdale and Hobsonville Campuses, coordinating with the PCBU and subcontractors to ensure high‑quality builds.

Qualifications

• Experience managing large‑scale, complex building projects, preferably in critical infrastructure such as data centres or hospitals.
• Strong leadership, risk management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Solid understanding of mechanical/electrical elements, building methods and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee flow of technical information between engineering disciplines and stakeholders to ensure compliance with specs.
• Manage construction contracts, including due diligence and third‑party agreements.
• Report to Head of Construction on progress, forecasting, budget control, procurement and schedule updates.
• Provide end‑to‑end oversight focusing on value, safety, structural adequacy and verification of works.
• Identify opportunities to optimise delivery, timelines or innovation and liaise with consultants.
• Lead meetings and maintain communication with key stakeholders from design through handover.
• Build partnerships with suppliers and vendors to enhance CDC’s capability.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Act as ambassador for the company in team and stakeholder engagements.
