Job description

At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.

Your impact

Great places don't happen by accident.

At Jacobs, we're helping deliver some of New Zealand's most significant infrastructure projects and we're looking for a Landscape Architect to join our Auckland team.

Working alongside experienced landscape architects, urban designers, architects, planners and engineers, you'll contribute to projects that shape how communities connect, move and interact with their environment. From health precincts, transport corridors and public spaces to water and community infrastructure, you'll help create places that leave a lasting impact.

You’ll work across design, documentation and project delivery, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in New Zealand and Australia while continuing to develop your technical and creative skills.

Here’s what you’ll need

We’re looking for someone who is a few years into their landscape architecture career and ready for their next challenge.

You’ll enjoy design, think creatively and have a genuine interest in shaping places that improve people’s experience of their communities and environment. You thrive in collaborative environments, enjoy working with a range of disciplines, and are comfortable balancing both creative and technical aspects of project delivery.

We’re looking for someone who is curious, proactive and keen to learn. Whether your experience is in infrastructure, transport, public realm or community-focused projects, you’ll bring strong graphic communication and design skills, along with experience using tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, GIS and Adobe Creative Suite.

Most importantly, you’ll be excited by the opportunity to work on meaningful projects, learn from experienced practitioners, and help grow our Connected Cities team in New Zealand.

If you’re looking for a role where you can develop your career while helping shape future communities across New Zealand, we’d love to hear from you.

With safety and flexibility always top of mind, we’ve gone beyond traditional ways of working so you have the support, means and space to maximize your potential. You’ll uncover flexible working arrangements, benefits and opportunities, from well-being benefits to our global giving and volunteering program, to exploring new and inventive ways to help our clients make the world a better place. No matter what drives you, you’ll discover how you can cultivate, nurture and achieve your goals – all at a single global company. Find out more about life at Jacobs here.
