Job summary

Oji Fibre Solutions – ForestResources (Kinleith Mill) is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to perform testing, reporting and quality assurance across the site. You will handle samples, calibrations and equipment maintenance to ensure reliable laboratory services for operations and customers.

The role requires a tertiary science qualification and collaboration within a diverse team, with a focus on accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial, environmental or manufacturing laboratory settings.
• Strong attention to accuracy and data reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Experience with laboratory safety and QA processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory analysis of process, quality and environmental samples and report results.
• Prepare chemicals, calibration solutions and reagents; manage stock.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment; support commissioning new equipment.
• Support investigations, problem solving and training for site personnel.
• Monitor quality systems and ensure HSNO and QA compliance.

We take pride in producing world-classmarket kraft pulps, which are used in a wide range of boards and specialtyproducts around the world.

About the role:

Reporting to the Chemist, you will beresponsible for carrying out laboratory testing, analysis, reporting, equipmentmaintenance, and quality assurance activities that support the mill'soperations and customers.

You will work with a wide range ofprocess samples and play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely laboratoryservices are provided across the site.

What you will be doing:

• Conductlaboratory analysis of process, quality and environmental samples, includingreporting and interpretation of results for conformance and continuousimprovement.
• Preparelaboratory chemicals, calibration solutions and reagents, and manageconsumables and chemical stocks
• Maintainlaboratory equipment through calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting andsupport for commissioning new equipment
• Supportprocess investigations, operational problem-solving, technical support andtraining for site personnel
• Monitorlaboratory performance and quality systems while ensuring compliance withlaboratory safety, HSNO and quality assurance requirements

What you will bring:

Holding a tertiary levelqualification in Science Studies, you will be passionate about science,laboratory testing and delivering accurate results that support industrialoperations. You will have previous laboratory experience in an industrial,environmental, manufacturing or scientific environment, and enjoy variety,problem solving and working as part of a collaborative team.
