Job summary

KiwiQuest Ltd. in Tauranga seeks seasonal orchard workers to perform kiwifruit pruning and maintenance around Tauranga, Te Puna and Te Puke from October through Christmas.

Work is approximately nine to ten hours daily when weather permits. No previous experience required; full training is provided. You must have a valid working holiday visa, IRD number and NZ bank account; height minimum 165 cm; commitment through Christmas. Dormitory beds and transport to orchards are available.

Responsibilities

• Perform kiwifruit bud thinning and tipping.
• Complete other orchard maintenance tasks.
• Work approximately nine to ten hours daily when weather permits.
• Follow orchard instructions and employment procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum height of 165 centimetres.
• Commitment through Christmas or at least 20 December.
• Valid working holiday visa, IRD number and New Zealand bank account.
• No experience is required, but reliable attendance is expected.
• NZD 26 per hour including holiday pay.
• Full training provided.
• Work available from early October until Christmas.
• Special weekly dormitory beds available at Loft 109 Backpackers.
• Transport to orchards available for backpacker guests.
