Job summary

Lodder Farms Ltd in the Tasman region (Motueka/Riwaka) is seeking about 10 people for a bud thinning project on Red and Gold kiwifruit orchards. The assignment runs for around 3 weeks starting Monday 12 October, with potential for a few weeks of ongoing work.

Tasks include 8–9 hour days, outdoor work, following instructions, and strong attention to detail as part of a team. You should have transport and be comfortable around bees and pollen during this season.

Job description

Lodder Farms is a small, family owned kiwifruit orchard. Our orchards are located in Motueka and Riwaka in the beautiful Tasman region. Top of the South Island.

Job Opportunity

We are looking for approx. 10 people to join our bud thinning team, to help remove excess or misshapen flowers from our Red and gold Kiwifruit orchards. This is approximately 3 weeks of work, starting Monday 12th October, with the potential for ongoing work for just a few.

Key Responsibilities

• Work involves arms working above your head and looking up all day

Requirements

• You must be a New Zealander or have a valid working Visa.
• You must have your own transport.
• Height ideally between 165cm and 180cm (due to canopy height).
• Be aware of bees and pollen in the orchards at this time of year.
