Job summary

Rotorua Intermediate is seeking an enthusiastic kaiako to join our Whare, commencing term 1, 2027. The role focuses on delivering a kaupapa Māori learning environment with a strong Te Ao Māori emphasis and whānau values, including waiata, Karakia/Tauparapara, and Tikanga Māori as part of the learning program.

Qualifications

• NZ registered teacher with current practising certificate.
• Knowledge of Te Marautanga o Aotearoa.
• Ability to contribute to a kaupapa Māori learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide tauira with a kaupapa Māori learning environment.
• Incorporate waiata, Karakia/Tauparapara and Tikanga Māori into learning activities.
• Work collaboratively within a team and pursue ongoing professional growth.
• Support the revitalisation of te reo Māori me ona tikanga.
