Job summary

Quantifi Photonics NZ, part of the Teradyne family, is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to develop and maintain the software stack supporting PXIe modules and test instruments. You will collaborate with hardware, automation and test teams to design, implement and optimise software for performance and a smooth user experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Exposure to software development through academic projects, internships, personal projects, or entry-level industry experience.
  • Strong programming fundamentals in one or more languages such as C#, C++, Python, C, or .NET technologies.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming, testing and debugging.
  • Familiarity with Git and version control practices.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, test, debug, and document software for PXIe modules and signal integrity instruments.
  • Collaborate with hardware, automation and test teams to design, develop and maintain software solutions.
  • Apply software engineering best practices, including code reviews, unit tests and secure coding standards.
  • Write clean, well-documented code and assist with debugging and defect resolution.
  • Support continuous improvement of processes and share knowledge across the team.
