Job summary

Otago Polytechnic in Dunedin is seeking an enthusiastic Associate Graphic Designer to join our Marketing, Communications and Engagement team. This entry-level role supports the creation of visual content across digital and print channels, including social media, websites, publications and internal communications.

You will work under guidance to turn briefs into high-quality visuals, contribute to photography, typography and video content, and help maintain brand consistency.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree-level qualification in Graphic Design, Fine Art, Marketing or a similar field.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro.
• The ability to prepare print-ready artwork and produce or edit video content.
• Experience creating content for digital channels such as websites, social media and digital advertising.

Responsibilities

• Support the creation of visual content across digital and print channels, including social media, websites, publications and internal communications.
• Turn briefs into high-quality visuals and contribute to photography, animation, typography and illustration as needed.
• Assist in short-form video content and help maintain brand consistency across all materials.
