Jr R&D Technologist

Key Position Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To
- Support the development and improvement of new and existing products and processes focusing on time, quality and cost expectations, including activities such as:
- Project feasibility
- Prototype development
- New ingredient evaluation & approval product costing
- Establishing production methods
- Setting up of factory documentation
- Supervision of factory trials and commercial production
- Area of responsibility can include some or all the following:
- NPD
- Value Engineering
- In house or Co-Pack manufacture
- Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities
- Provide support to manufacturing, procurement
- Recipe control – ensure recipes and all other relevant documentation are entered into the data control system in a correct and timely manner
- Provide progress reports and final reports on time and in the format required.
- Development of technical product information including BOMs, production methods, label information, ingredient specifications, product specifications and shelf life evaluation
- Provide technical guidance to support project completion and adherence to business process in partnership with Marketing and other functions.
- Support growth and cost-saving opportunities for relevant business categories using commercial acumen and specific category knowledge.
- Provide technical support to Manufacturing and Procurement
- Provide technical guidance and input to QRMP and other business quality programs.
- Perform assigned tasks in accordance with all Kraft Heinz Food Safety, Environmental, Health and Safety, and Ethical and Human Resources policies, programs and goals.

- Understanding of interactions between ingredients, additives, recipes, processes and packaging types.
- Experience with use of business and production systems, Excel, Word as well as key board skills.
- Experience with working through NPD stage and gate processes.
- Understanding of the FSANZ Food Standards code and food labelling requirements.
