Southland Transportation Ltd. is seeking a Journeyperson Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain a diverse fleet of buses and commercial vehicles, ensuring safety for passengers and drivers. The role features 10-hour days on a rotating schedule, with overtime as required, and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson certification required (Automotive).
• SGI Inspection License – asset if held.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with diagnostic ability.
• Able to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain a diverse fleet of buses and commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
• Respond to road call breakdowns and troubleshoot as needed.
• Coordinate with shop management on schedules and priorities.
• Document inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance accurately.
• Collaborate with drivers and technicians to keep the fleet safe.
