Job summary

NZME New Zealand is seeking an experienced journalist to join our Christchurch integrated newsroom. You will craft concise copy, provide engaging news across platforms, and contribute to a fast-paced team environment.

Applicants should hold a journalism qualification with at least one year of experience; broadcasting experience is a plus. The role requires a self-starter attitude, weekend shifts, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced media setting.

• Be willing to work weekends and shifts, including early starts and late finishes.

• An open mind and willingness to develop your skills across a range of platforms.
