Job summary

New World Gardens in Dunedin is seeking an Inwards Goods / Grocery Assistant to join our storeroom and grocery team. You will handle goods receipting, forklift operations, unloading trucks and stock transfers.

We value reliability, teamwork and a can-do attitude. Training is provided for the forklift license, and you will follow Health & Safety guidelines to maintain a tidy, safe environment for staff and delivery personnel.

Qualifications

• Experience in inward goods and/or storeroom
• Able to provide a high standard of customer service
• Physically fit with ability to perform heavy lifting

Responsibilities

• Goods receipting and scanning orders
• Operating a forklift in a safe and responsible manner
• Unloading trucks, transferring stock to cages and picking lists
• Maintaining records and following Health & Safety guidelines
• Liaise with Managers and external suppliers regarding stock discrepancies
• Prevent wastage through storeroom stock rotation & checking dates
• Help maintain a tidy storeroom and inward goods area
• Ensure a safe environment for staff and delivery personnel
