Job summary

MBIE in New Zealand is seeking two experienced Commercial Leads to join our Investment Management team. Reporting to an Investment Director, you will evaluate, structure, contract and manage investments supporting regional economic development across NZ.

Collaborate with Investment Directors and stakeholders to provide strategic commercial advice, assess opportunities, manage portfolios and drive delivery from evaluation through to implementation and ongoing management.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of investment principles and evaluation methodologies.
• Experience evaluating, structuring and managing complex investments.
• Understanding of debt and equity investment structures.
• Strong commercial acumen and financial literacy.
• Experience developing and managing commercial contracts.
• Ability to analyse complex information and provide practical advice.
• Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience preparing high-quality reports and papers.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of government processes and Machinery of Government.
• A relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent professional experience.
• Legal right to live and work in New Zealand.
