Job summary

Rocket Lab in Auckland is seeking an Inventory Coordinator to join our Supply Chain team. You’ll help keep thousands of components and hundreds of orders moving to internal and external customers, ensuring production teams have what they need, exactly when they need it.

You’ll perform FIFO receiving, cycle counts, stock accuracy, and pallet handling to support production priorities, with safety and 5S standards guiding every task.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP systems and the ability to learn new systems.
• Excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and a methodical approach.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process inward goods on FIFO basis following SOPs.
• Maintain stock accuracy through cycle counts and ERP updates.
• Keep the warehouse organized to 5S standards and ensure key processes remain in control.
• Deliver components, kits, Kanban materials, and raw materials to support production priorities.
• Pick, pack, and dispatch items efficiently while supporting operations with logistics tasks.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to remove bottlenecks and support internal customers with service.
• Follow health and safety procedures and wear PPE.

They set up the assembly kits that enables our technicians to put together our Electron rockets , manage inventory , look after shipping and receiving , manage direct and indirect procurement , and inspect and ensure that all of our materials and products are compliant and up to standard . They are the chain that links our teams together , and are critical to our success .

We’re looking for a highly organized, detail‑drivenInventory Coordinatorto join our Supply Chain team. In this role, you’ll help keep thousands of components and hundreds of orders moving seamlessly to internal and external customers, ensuring our production teams have what they need, exactly when they need it. You’ll be central to supporting daily and weekly production targets and championing Supply Chain DIFOT performance.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Receive and process inwards goods on a FIFO basis, following all SOPs.
• Maintain stock accuracy through cycle counting, investigations, and ERP updates.
• Keep the warehouse organised to 5S standards and ensure key processes remain in control.
• Deliver components, kits, Kanban materials, and raw materials to support production priorities.
• Pick, pack, and dispatch items efficiently while supporting operations with logistics runner tasks.
• Work cross-functionally to remove bottlenecks and support internal customers with professional service.
• Follow health & safety procedures, wear required PPE, and report incidents promptly.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within manufacturing.
• Confidence with ERP systems and the ability to learn new systems.
• Exceptional organisation skills, strong attention to detail, and a systematic approach.
• Ability to work independently, manage shifting priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• A proactive, reliable, and team-oriented attitude.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience in stores/inventory roles, including inwards/outwards goods.
• Hands-on stock management and quality control experience.
• Exposure to manufacturing, automotive, or aviation environments.

SCHEDULE

Shift: Night Shift (Monday – Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM)

Schedule: 40 hours per week (10 hours/day, 4 days/week)
