Job summary

MBIE in Wellington seeks an experienced Advisor for the Integrity Team to support MBIE's integrity management framework and conduct internal investigations into staff misconduct, including fraud, dishonesty, and conflicts of interest. You will build integrity capability by advising managers and staff and collaborating with a professional team.

The role requires a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, excellent communication, and the ability to obtain a national security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience conducting internal investigations in an integrity, compliance or regulatory environment.
  • Knowledge of investigative methodologies and techniques.
  • Strong analytical and risk assessment skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
  • Experience building trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • High levels of integrity and discretion.
  • The legal right to live and work in New Zealand.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a national security clearance to Secret level.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and support internal investigations into alleged staff misconduct, including fraud, dishonesty, conflicts of interest and other integrity risks.
  • Help build integrity capability across MBIE by providing advice, analysis and education to managers and staff.
