Job summary

Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities invites applications for a Wellington-based permanent role focused on transforming information management and governance.

You will lead enterprise information architectures aligned with AoG frameworks, drive classification and metadata practices, and partner with business and technology teams to deliver outcomes.

  • Significant experience in government or large, complex organisations, delivering strategic information architecture initiatives and organisational change.
  • Proven experience developing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise information architectures that support business and technology outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of AoG frameworks, methodologies, and standards including GEA-NZ, TOGAF, ArchiMate, COBIT, ITIL, ISO standards, NIST, NZISM, and PSR.

Job description

Shape the way information is managed, governed, and leveraged across Kāinga Ora. Ensure information is meaningful, discoverable, and valuable to business users and customers. Wellington-based permanent role, 5 week's annual leave + a suite of benefits.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring
  • Significant experience in government or large, complex organisations, delivering strategic information architecture initiatives and organisational change
  • Proven experience developing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise information architectures that support business and technology outcomes
  • Strong knowledge of industry and All-of-Government (AoG) frameworks, methodologies, and standards, including GEA-NZ, TOGAF, ArchiMate, COBIT, ITIL, ISO standards, NIST, NZISM, and the Protective Security Requirements (PSR)
  • Demonstrated expertise in information structure, taxonomy, classification, content organisation, metadata, and information labelling practices
  • The ability to work effectively across both business and technology domains, building strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience applying recognised architecture frameworks and patterns within complex enterprise environments
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • A strategic mindset combined with a pragmatic, delivery-focused approach to achieving organisational outcomes
  • Knowledge of contemporary information governance, digital transformation, and data management practices is desirable
