Placements24 seeks a Healthcare Cleaner for a facility in Queenstown to uphold the highest sanitation and infection control standards across patient rooms, surgical areas, and public spaces.

You will collaborate with healthcare staff, follow strict protocols, and handle waste management and cleaning equipment with meticulous care. Prior healthcare cleaning experience and knowledge of safety regulations are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a healthcare cleaner or similar specialized cleaning role in a medical facility.
• In-depth knowledge of infection control procedures, chemical disinfection, and healthcare waste management.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in healthcare settings.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in sensitive environments.
• Strong attention to detail and meticulous cleaning approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, wards, treatment areas, and public spaces.
• Sanitize operating rooms, sterile processing areas, and other critical zones per protocols.
• Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with healthcare regulations.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as high-efficiency vacuums and steam cleaners.
• Respond promptly to biohazard incidents and emergency cleaning needs.
• Maintain logs of cleaning activities, supplies used, and issues identified.
