Job summary

Access Community Health | Uru Ātea is seeking Support Workers to help clients live independently at home in Tauranga. No qualifications or prior experience required; you’ll assist with daily living activities, respecting culture, values and routines.

We provide comprehensive paid training, flexible hours, and weekend availability with a small extra hourly rate. Paid travel time and mileage are included. This fixed-term role runs November 2026 to January 2027, with a clear pathway for kaiāwhina.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support tāngata with individual care needs and daily living activities in people’s homes.
• Provide safe, respectful, person-centered support while mindful of culture, values, routines and boundaries.
• Adapt approach to each person and maintain ongoing communication with caregivers and clients.
