Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Dunedin is seeking a Medical Imaging Technologist (MIT) / Radiographer for a permanent, full-time role. You will operate imaging equipment across X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and more, producing high-quality diagnostic images while prioritising patient comfort and safety.

You will work with Radiologists and clinicians in a 24/7 service, contributing to a collaborative team that values professionalism and humour in a demanding clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Current registration and Annual Practising Certificate with the Medical Radiation Technologists Board (MRTB).
• Strong commitment to patient safety, comfort and high-quality imaging.
• Clear and effective communication skills with patients and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images.
• Ensure patient comfort throughout procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Collaborate with Radiologists, clinicians and wider healthcare teams to support diagnosis and treatment.
