Job summary

Hype DC is seeking seasonal Christmas Sales Assistants for our Riccarton store in Christchurch. You’ll bring energy, great vibes, and a can-do attitude during our busiest season.

You’ll help customers find the perfect sneakers, unpack stock, and pack online orders while contributing to a fun, fast-paced team environment. Availability Oct 2026 to mid-Jan 2027 (weekends and late nights) is required.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver friendly, proactive customer service.
• Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced retail setting.
• Interest in sneakers and streetwear is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and take on feedback.

Responsibilities

• Create a standout experience for every customer.
• Support the team to hit sales and KPI goals.
• Move stock efficiently: receive, restock, and keep shelves full.
• Pick and pack online orders for dispatch.

About the Role

Step into the season in style with Hype DC at our Riccarton store! As Christmas Sales Assistants, you'll bring energy, good vibes, and a can-do attitude to our busiest (and most fun) time of year.

From helping customers find their perfect kicks to unpacking stock or packing online orders, every shift brings something new. If you love sneakers, fast-paced days, and great people, you’ll fit right in.

Key Responsibilities

What We're Looking For

• Full availability from October 2026 to mid-January 2027, including weekends, late nights, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day
• Retail experience is great, but not a must
• Passion for sneakers, streetwear, and delivering outstanding customer service
• Love the hustle of a fast-paced team environment
• Self-motivated and goal-driven
• Open to learning, feedback, and being your best
