Job summary

Coll Electrical is seeking a full-time Hydrovac Driver/Operator to support our civil and infrastructure workload in Auckland. You will drive and operate our hydrovac truck on construction sites and assist with lifting and rigging while maintaining safety standards.

Night shifts may be required; we offer competitive pay, overtime after 40 hours, training, and opportunities to grow your civil experience within a 85-strong team.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 4 license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience as a Hydrovac Driver/Operator.
• Physically fit and able to lift/move equipment as required.
• Flexibility to work night shifts from time to time.
• Confident operating on construction sites and following safety protocols.
• Good communicator and team player.

Responsibilities

As we continue to grow, and we are now looking for a skilled full-time Hydrovac Driver/Operator to support our busy civil and infrastructure workload - helping free up our sparkies to focus on electrical work.

Depending on project requirements, you may also assist with other truck driving, or lifting and rigging operations, with training provided. As civil works are often scheduled overnight, flexibility to work after-hours is essential.

You’ll be joining a team of 85 including designers, estimators, project managers, inspectors, electricians and apprentices.

About the Role

• Driving and operating our late model hydrovac truck across various construction sites
• Lifting and rigging operations (workload dependent, training provided)
• Working safely and efficiently to support excavations and site prep.
• Following all company and site-specific safety procedures.

About You

• Valid Class 4 license with a clean driving record
