Placements24 is assisting a client in Queenstown, Eastern Cape, to hire a Senior Automotive Electronics Specialist for their advanced technology team. You will diagnose, repair and maintain complex automotive electronic systems with cutting-edge diagnostic equipment and support a range of vehicle makes.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, strong ECU knowledge, CAN/LIN, and ASE certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as Automotive Electronics Specialist or Master Technician.
• Deep knowledge of ECUs and CAN/LIN communication.
• ASE certification or similar preferred.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex faults using advanced tools.
• Repair/replace ECUs, sensors, wiring harnesses, and infotainment systems.
• Interpret wiring diagrams and service bulletins.
• Analyze system performance and identify root causes.
• Stay updated on CAN, LIN, ADAS and EV powertrains.
• Provide guidance to junior technicians and service advisors.
• Ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications and quality.
• Maintain detailed records of diagnostics and repairs.
• Improve diagnostic processes and workshop efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments for customer satisfaction.
