Job summary

Kami is offering a summer Data Engineer Internship in our Auckland HQ. You’ll join the Engineering teams to build and maintain data infrastructure and collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts and Software Engineers. This paid, full-time role runs from November 9, 2026 to February 12, 2027, with a hybrid work setup.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data infrastructure.
• Contribute to data pipelines and analytics infrastructure with guidance from experienced data engineers.
• Maintain data warehouses, databases and analytics infrastructure.
• Ensure data is reliable and available for reporting and analytics.
• Write clean, maintainable code and follow data engineering best practices.
• Learn modern data engineering tools and techniques.
