Job summary

Aviat-Networks is seeking an HR professional to support HR processes for New Zealand and Australia, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. The role covers onboarding, payroll administration, and data integrity across systems.

Based in New Zealand (on-site), you will maintain employee records, support audits, and contribute to regional and global HR initiatives while providing general HR support as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or administration preferred.
  • Five years of work experience in similar role.
  • Experience in Payroll process Administration.
  • Telecommunication or IT sector experience preferable.
  • No supervisory experiences required.
  • No traveling required.

Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end HR processes, ensuring adherence to established procedures and approval frameworks while maintaining high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and service delivery.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding activities, including coordinating new hire inductions and conducting exit interviews.
  • Administer payroll and employee benefits processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable policies.
  • Perform regular HR data audits to ensure data integrity, consistency, and completeness across systems.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits, respond to HR and payroll-related queries in a timely manner, and deliver detailed explanations where required.
  • Accurately record, document, and report employment-related information, escalating issues as required to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records within personnel files and HRIS/payroll systems, ensuring full compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Contribute to the implementation of regional and global HR initiatives and projects as required.
  • Provide general HR support and carry out additional duties as assigned.

About the Role:

To assist in the implementation, execution, administration and supervision of HR processes relevant to Aviat’s New Zealand and Australia needs - locally, regionally and globally.

Qualifications & Competencies:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or administration preferred
  • Five years of work experience in similar role
  • Self driven and goal-oriented mindset and working style
  • Ability to establish high integrity and trust among staff
  • Ability to work independently
  • Diligence and preciseness
  • Experience in Payroll process Administration
  • Working experience in telecommunication or IT sector is preferable
  • No supervisory experiences required
  • No traveling required
