Job summary

Ruby Recruit is partnering with a strong health-sector brand to recruit an experienced HR Coordinator in Auckland. The role focuses on HR administration, onboarding, payroll compliance, policy updates and HRIS data accuracy in a busy, friendly team.

You’ll be the go-to person for employees, supporting engagement, learning and development, wellbeing, and HR projects while maintaining accurate HR records and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Strong HR administration experience.
  • Highly organised, accurate and detail-oriented.
  • Strong systems experience with HRIS and payroll processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build approachable relationships across all levels.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all new employee administration, onboarding documentation, and payroll compliance.
  • Coordinate offboarding processes and maintain HRIS records.
  • First point of contact for general HR queries, policies, systems, and processes.
  • Manage HR inboxes and respond to employee enquiries.
  • Review and update HR policies, forms, and processes to ensure compliance and relevance.
  • Provide administration support across the HR team.
  • Produce accurate people metrics and reporting.
  • Assist with learning and development coordination.
  • Provide recruitment support to the Talent Acquisition Partner when required.
  • Lead or support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support health, safety, and wellbeing processes, including committee coordination and compliance reporting.

About the Role

The HR Coordinator plays a pivotal part in keeping core people processes running smoothly. You’ll provide essential HR administration, first‑level advice, and systems support across the employee lifecycle — ensuring documentation, reporting, and HRIS data are accurate, timely, and compliant.

You’ll be highly visible across the organisation, supporting engagement, employment relations processes, policy updates, learning and development activities, and HR projects that strengthen culture and capability.

Key Responsibilities
