Job summary

Auckland Harbour Suites, part of Minor Hotels, is expanding our housekeeping team with multiple part-time opportunities. We’re seeking dedicated, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience and enjoy working in a collaborative environment.

Prior housekeeping experience and a keen eye for detail are valued. You will work with the team to meet daily targets, follow safety protocols, and use cleaning equipment provided with training.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping experience is preferred.
• Attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment; training will be provided.
• Good physical fitness to perform repetitive tasks.
• Strong communication with guests, team members and contractors.
• Strong time management and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean guest rooms including beds, vacuuming floors, and bathrooms to a pristine standard.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and goals.
• Adhere to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Use cleaning equipment and products safely with training provided.
• Build professional relationships with team, guests and contractors to foster a positive work environment.

About the job:

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.

Qualifications

• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
