Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Auckland is seeking a Cleaner to help maintain high hygiene standards across hospital wards and non-clinical areas.

You will join a dedicated team at Middlemore Hospital, with full 40-hour weeks, flexible shifts across mornings, evenings, nights and weekends, and all safety gear and uniforms provided.

Experience in cleaning is helpful but training is provided; you will be supported in a rewarding role that directly contributes to patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning is great but not essential; we provide full training
• Physically fit, able to walk or stand for long periods
• Comfortable working at height using a ladder
• A positive, customer-focused attitude
• Team player who can also work independently

Responsibilities

• Carry out isolation and decontamination cleaning (full training provided, including Bioquell systems)
• Hang curtains (youll need to be confident using a ladder)
• Follow detailed cleaning procedures and area-specific duty lists
