Thompsonsltd in Opotiki seeks expressions of interest for outdoor seasonal work during the Spring/Summer period. Roles include bud thinning, flower picking, cosmetic fruit thinning and canopy management, with on-the-job training provided. Start date is early October to mid-December, up to 6 days per week and employees are on their feet for long periods.

Casual and fixed-term contracts are available. Limited local transport may affect some shifts; ideal candidates are motivated with good fitness

Qualifications

• Horticulture experience preferred but on-the-job training will be provided.
• Able to work outdoors, in reasonable physical fitness.
• Great team spirit and motivation to perform well daily.

Spring is on its way! We have work available in Opotiki for the Spring/Summer season After a cold winter, we are looking forward to the upcoming Spring/ Summer season here at Thompsons! We are taking expressions of interest for people keen to get outdoors making most of the beautiful NZ Spring weather. We have positions available in/ around the Opotiki region . Horticulture experience is preferred but not essential as on-the-job training will be provided. Ideally you will have a great team spirit, a good level of fitness and the motivation to do well everyday!Things to know:

• Approx start date early Oct - Mid December
• Hours of work - Up to 6 days per week (weather dependent)
• Pay rate - starting rate $25.92 (inclusive of Holiday Pay)
• Contracts available - Casual & Fixed term
• This work involves being on your feet for long periods of time
• Work activities can include (but not limited to) bud thinning, flower picking, cosmetic fruit thinning & canopy management
• Limited transport available in the local area (depending on availability)
