Job summary

HealthCare NZ in Waihi is seeking an empathetic Support Worker to assist clients in their homes during the Christmas and New Year period. The role requires a positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to cover shifts during the holiday season.

Responsibilities include meal prep, medication support, personal care, and community outings, with guaranteed hours and travel allowance. Training toward NZQA Health & Wellbeing qualifications is provided, plus a work phone and EAP support.

Qualifications

• Previous healthcare or caregiving experience preferred
• Ability to work alternate weekends
• Full NZ driver’s licence and reliable transport
• Right to work in New Zealand
