Job summary

James Hargest College in Invercargill seeks an energetic educator to lead the health and physical education department, champion scholarship, and support high achievement across the curriculum.

The successful candidate will be an NZ registered teacher, experienced in leading change, and skilled in culturally responsive pedagogy, NCEA levels 2 and 3, and meeting diverse student needs within a collaborative team.

About the role

We seek an energetic and experienced educator to lead our high performing health and PE department, Students at our kura strive for academic success at the highest levels, including scholarship. Contribution to the scholarship programme is an expected part of this leadership role.

The successful applicant will be an NZ registered teacher and have experience in:
