Job summary

Watercare is seeking a High Voltage Network Specialist in Auckland to lead safe, compliant operation of the HV network across the region. This senior, field-based role reports to the High Voltage Lead and acts as the on-site HV authority for planned works, outages, switching, faults and emergencies.

You will manage live HV work, lead fault isolation and restoration, coordinate contractors and internal teams, and maintain records, permits, and safety procedures in a multi-site environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Electrician or Power Technician qualifications.
• Extensive high voltage switching and isolation experience.
• Experience with LOTO, permits and Control of Works systems.
• Experience with substations and HV equipment.
• Collaborates across maintenance, operations and contractors.
• Strong safety leadership and procedural discipline.

This role goes beyond simple planning or coordination.
