Job summary

People in Mind in Hamilton is seeking a hands-on Practice Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a small specialist clinic. You will work with four doctors, oversee a reception team of two, and balance reception duties with wider management and administration of the practice.

Based in London Street, Hamilton, the role is 3–4 days per week with off-site parking and occasional travel to the Cambridge clinic.

Qualifications

• Experience in practice management, medical administration or similar healthcare environment.
• Experience using Xero and patient management software, with knowledge of ACC processes.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day coordination of the practice
• Reception duties and providing a warm, professional experience for patients
• Overseeing the reception team
• Managing ACC processes, requirements and queries
• Managing day-to accounts and payroll in Xero
• Keeping systems, administration and practice processes on track
• Troubleshooting issues and finding practical solutions
• Supporting doctors and wider team with smooth clinic running
• Identifying opportunities to improve how things are done
