Nib in New Zealand is seeking a Health Partner Contracts Manager to shape provider partnerships, influence provider networks and manage multi-million-dollar healthcare spend for our members.

You will lead high-value negotiations with hospitals and healthcare providers, translating network strategy into commercially sustainable partnerships that deliver value for members, providers and nib.

Join us as our Health Partner Contracts Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping provider partnerships that improve member affordability, reduce claims inflation and deliver sustainable value across our healthcare network.

This is far more than a contract management role. You'll be responsible for shaping how we partner with healthcare providers across New Zealand, influencing millions of dollars in healthcare spend while helping deliver more affordable, accessible and sustainable healthcare for our members.

Leading the development, negotiation and optimisation of provider agreements across hospitals and healthcare facilities, you'll translate network strategy into commercially effective partnerships that deliver value for members, providers and nib.

Working closely with senior leaders across Provider Management, Clinical Services and Claims, you'll identify opportunities to improve network performance, manage healthcare cost inflation and drive innovative funding and contracting approaches that support better health outcomes.

You'll have the opportunity to:

You enjoy tackling difficult problems, balancing competing priorities and finding innovative solutions that create value for all parties. You're confident operating autonomously, influencing senior stakeholders and leading negotiations where commercial outcomes matter.

Most importantly, you're motivated by the opportunity to make a genuine impact on the future sustainability of healthcare in New Zealand.

You have:

• Superior problem solving, negotiation, decision making and commercial judgement
• Strong analytical capability, including the ability to interpret claims, utilisation and provider performance data and translate insights into contracting action
• Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of a function and drive continuous improvement across systems, processes and governance
• Tertiary qualification in business, health management, law, commerce, finance or a related discipline (desirable)
• Experience with hospital contracting, facility funding models, gap schemes, provider networks or alternative models of care (preferred)
• Working knowledge of contract law principles, procurement disciplines, risk management and regulatory obligations relevant to healthcare contracting (preferred)
• Experience developing contract templates, negotiation playbooks, performance frameworks or reporting dashboards (preferred)
