Job summary

Rotorua Cosmic Hands Chinese Massage is seeking multiple Massage Therapists to join our Rotorua-based team. This is a full-time role with a minimum of 30 hours per week, focused on delivering therapeutic massage and body treatments to support health, fitness, and rehabilitation needs.

Responsibilities include applying massage techniques to soft tissues, using diverse methods to treat soft tissue and reduce injury risk, and providing treatments that promote relaxation and improve circulation.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of relevant massage work experience (2+ years preferred).
• Good work attitude and communication skills.
• Strong motivation and physical fitness to handle workload.
• Quality workmanship and eye for detail.
• Commitment to health and workplace safety.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work with a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic massage and body treatments to support health, fitness, and rehabilitation needs.
• Apply massage techniques to soft tissues (muscles, tendons, and ligaments) to aid healing.
• Use various massage methods to treat soft tissue and reduce injury risk.
• Encourage relaxation, improve circulation, and relieve muscle tension.
• Evaluate soft tissue dysfunctions and offer rehabilitation guidance.
• Incorporate acupressure, Shiatsu, infrared lamps, wet compresses, ice, essential oils, and herbal/mineral therapies.
• Review client histories to recommend stretches and relaxation techniques.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and keep accurate treatment records.

Main Duty

Provide therapeutic massage and body treatments to support health, fitness, and rehabilitation needs.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Apply massage techniques to soft tissues, including muscles, tendons, and ligament,s to support healing
• Use various massage methods to treat soft tissue and reduce the risk of injury
• Provide treatments to encourage relaxation, improve circulation, and relieve muscle tension
• Evaluate and address soft tissue dysfunctions, offering rehabilitation guidance
• Incorporate additional approaches such as acupressure, Shiatsu, infrared lamps, wet compresses, ice, essential oils, and herbal or mineral therapies
• Review client histories and physical conditions to recommend stretching exercises and relaxation techniques
• Maintain a clean and safe environment and keep accurate treatment records

The successful candidate must have:

• At least one year, ideally with two or more years of relevant work experience.
