In this important role you will help with a range of direct and non-direct patient care tasks under the direction of a registered nurse and maintain the department environment to ensure efficient and effective functioning including:* Support nursing staff with the delivery of safe and effective patient care across the Cath Lab, Procedure Room and Cardiology Day Unit.* Assist with patient care, movement, comfort and supervision as directed by nursing staff.* Support the preparation, set-up and turnaround of clinical areas for procedures.* Assist with restocking equipment and consumables and maintaining organised clinical areas.* Undertake general housekeeping and practical support tasks that contribute to the smooth running of Cardiology Labs.* Assist with clerical and administrative duties as required, including accounts, ordering and reconciliation of clinical supplies.* Work collaboratively with nursing, medical and wider multidisciplinary staff to support an efficient, patient-focused service.Hours of work are Monday –Friday, rostered shifts between 0700-1800**About us**Te Whatu Ora - Southern has the largest geographical coverage of all the New Zealand regions, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities.
