Job summary

BestStart Wolverton is seeking an inspiring Head Teacher to lead our infants and toddlers space. You will coach a dedicated teaching team, champion collaboration, and drive high-quality practice while building strong relationships with whānau.

This permanent full-time role (35 hours/week) focuses on leading with warmth, integrity and innovation, ensuring tamariki thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified and certified ECE or Primary teacher (Level 7).
• People-focused leader who brings out the best in others.
• Experience with infants and toddlers or readiness to lead that space.
• Leadership experience or willingness to grow into a leadership role.
• Sustained understanding of Te Whāriki and current ECE regulations.
• Commitment to inclusive practice and continuous improvement.
• Collaborative, approachable and relationship-driven with whānau.

• Lead and support a passionate team of teachers.
• Create rich, responsive learning experiences for infants and toddlers.

We’re looking for an inspiring Head Teacher to join our team and lead our infants and toddlers space. This is an exciting opportunity to lead, coach and inspire a dedicated teaching team while championing collaboration, respect, innovation and high-quality practice. This is a permanent, full-time position working 35 hours per week (7 hours per day)in our infants and toddlers space..
