Job summary

Bear Park St Clair is seeking a dedicated and passionate head teacher to lead an engaging and individualised curriculum in our welcoming rooms with strong ratios (Kea 1:6, Tui 1:7) and a proactive team.

You will mentor our teachers in a collaborative environment, participate in weekly planning time, and contribute to a nurturing space where children explore through expressive languages in bright rooms and expansive outdoor areas.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold New Zealand working rights to be considered for this position.
• Experience leading early childhood teams is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mentor our teachers and lead an engaging and individualised curriculum.
• Lead a team of 7 across rooms.
• Oversee team planning time and leadership duties (3 hours per week plus additional time).

About the role

• Our Kea room has amazing ratios of 1:6 and our Tui room 1:7.
• 3 hours of team planning per week plus additional time for leadership duties.
• Working in a team of 7, you will mentor our teachers and lead an engaging and individualised curriculum.
• Our open-ended environments allow teachers time to partake in small group work driving rich engagement with children.
• Our rooms are bright and open with generous outdoor areas and expansive lawns.
• We provide dedicated spaces for the discovery and enhancement of their many expressive languages.
