Job summary

Crimson Global Academy seeks an experienced Head of Department to lead the department across CGA's learning modes and uphold exceptional teaching, learning and assessment. You will work with the Principal, Deans and teachers to strengthen curriculum, develop staff and use data to boost student outcomes.

The role includes modelling online teaching, supporting professional growth, and overseeing exams and curriculum alignment with international standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified and experienced secondary teacher with strong subject expertise.
• Proven leadership experience in academic settings.
• Deep understanding of A-Level curriculum and assessment.
• Experience with international examination programmes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage your department across CGA learning modes.
• Drive high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
• Conduct learning walks and provide meaningful feedback and coaching.
• Lead department meetings focused on practice, curriculum and development.
• Mentor and develop teachers, including new da Vinci teachers.
• Oversee exam preparation, moderation and post-exam analysis.
• Ensure compliance with examination-board requirements.
• Use data to monitor progress and inform interventions.
• Collaborate with Deans to support students needing intervention.
• Teach classes as directed by the Principal.
