Job summary

T&G Global Limited is reshaping its technology leadership to drive data, analytics, AI, IoT, cloud and platform capabilities. You will steer strategy and roadmaps, build scalable platforms and foster a culture of reliable, secure and cost-effective technology across the business.

You will lead cross-functional teams, partner with cyber security, and work across Azure, AWS and on-premise environments to modernise platforms that empower global operations and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Define the strategy and multi-year roadmap across data, analytics, AI, IoT, cloud and technology platforms.
• Lead enterprise data and analytics platforms, enabling trusted and accessible data for operational and strategic decision-making.
• Build the platforms and capability needed to support AI and advanced analytics, including responsible AI practices.
• Lead IoT platforms that connect operational and physical assets with enterprise technology and data.
• Provide end-to-end leadership across Azure, AWS, on-premise infrastructure and enterprise networks.
• Establish modern platform engineering practices, automation and infrastructure-as-code.
• Improve platform reliability, monitoring, resilience, recoverability and cost transparency.
• Partner with Cyber Security to embed security-by-design and appropriate controls.
• Manage strategic relationships with cloud providers, platform vendors and managed service partners.
• Build the capability, career pathways and culture needed across data, platform, infrastructure and engineering teams.

We're building a new technology leadership team to help shape how T&G works, grows and connects around the world. At the heart of that future are the platforms, data and technology foundations that allow us to operate reliably today and innovate tomorrow.

We're looking for a Head of Data & Platform Engineering to lead T&G's data, analytics, AI, IoT, cloud and technology platform capability.

The opportunity

This is one of the broadest technology leadership roles in our new structure.

You’ll lead the capabilities that sit underneath much of T&G’s technology future, from enterprise data and analytics platforms through to AI, IoT, cloud, infrastructure and networks.

You’ll balance two equally important priorities: operational excellence and modernisation.

Our platforms need to be secure, resilient and cost-effective, while also creating the foundations for better data, AI, automation and digital innovation.

You’ll work closely with the CIO, CISO, Enterprise Architecture and business leaders to create a coherent platform strategy and turn it into practical, scalable capability.

What you’ll bring

You’ll be an experienced technology leader who can bridge data, cloud and platform engineering with operational technology and infrastructure.

You’ll bring significant leadership experience across data platforms, cloud infrastructure and platform engineering, together with experience leading complex hybrid environments.

You’ll understand what it takes to run reliable infrastructure while also modernising the underlying technology and creating new capability.

Experience across enterprise data and analytics platforms will be important, as will strong knowledge of cloud and modern engineering practices.

We’re particularly interested in leaders who can connect the dots between data, AI, infrastructure and the physical world. Experience with IoT, advanced analytics or complex operational environments would be valuable.

You’ll also bring the commercial and financial capability to manage significant technology investment, vendor relationships and platform costs.
