Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Palmerston North is hiring two Grocery/Warehouse Assistants to join Yogijis Foodmart Palmerston North. This hands-on role blends grocery floor work with warehouse duties, including receiving stock, stocking shelves, order picking and packing, and keeping the store and storage areas clean and safe.

You will assist customers when needed, and must be reliable, physically fit, and able to lift up to 25kg.

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg.
• Good communication and basic written skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Flexible and willing to work rostered shifts.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in retail, warehousing, or pick-packing OR a Level 2 qualification.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading deliveries (manual handling and/or forklift).
• Stocking shelves and ensuring product availability on the shop floor.
• Picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently.
• Organising and maintaining warehouse and storage areas.
• Assisting with stock rotation and inventory control.
• Maintaining cleanliness and adhering to health & safety standards.
• Providing basic customer assistance when needed.
