Job summary

Beca is offering a graduate program in survey disciplines in New Zealand. The role involves performing initial survey tasks under direct supervision and contributing technical survey skills toward project delivery.

You will assist in proposals and documentation, and participate in the graduate program toward professional certification. Develop communication, time management and presentation skills, while building relationships across teams and with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial survey tasks under direct supervision.
  • Contribute technical survey skills to the effective completion of projects, working at a graduate or equivalent level.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and other documentation with work completed accurately and to target standard.
  • Participate actively in the graduate program and commence the process for professional certification / registration.
  • Understand and work to achieve team goals through personal effort.
  • Develop an understanding of the industry, professional bodies, the Beca business and its clients, relevant standards and procedures in the discipline.
  • Understand and engage in the business and associated operations participating professionally and enthusiastically I project teams, learning about budget and revenue expenditure against client satisfaction measures.
  • Provide quality service to internal and external clients escalating client enquiries or issues as appropriate.
  • Communicate positively and effectively ensuring that team members, Managers and clients are consistently well informed about progress and timeline.
  • Develop effective business writing, time management and presentation skills.
  • Attend training and development opportunities as directed.
  • Maintain positive working relationships developing networking and consulting skills.
  • Seek specific and constructive feedback to ensure professional and technical development.
