Job summary

Eurofins Kalyx in New Zealand seeks an organized trial technician to support crop protection trials in the horticultural sector. You’ll plan, monitor, and report on trial activities while engaging with local growers and clients in Pukekohe.

Based in Pukekohe, NZ, you will work with agronomists, handle data collection, apply treatments safely, and contribute to timely final reports. The role may involve some overnight travel during peak periods and starts in November 2026.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Horticulture or Science.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage an established trial program by following protocol objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with local growers, clients and colleagues.
• Monitor/assess trial progress and accurately record data.
• Safely apply agrichemical treatments and other maintenance products through the trial life cycle.
• Work with the Research Support Officer team to ensure data and final reports are presented on time.
• Champion the values of Eurofins Kalyx and build the brand locally.

Job Description

You will work collaboratively with our team of research agronomists to achieve trial program objectives and be involved in all aspects of crop protection trial work. A typical week in the role would see the successful candidate:
