Job summary

Stuart Tarbotton Contractors – Ashburton, South Island is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our hands-on civil team. You’ll operate a range of modern excavators on projects from subdivisions to drainage and infrastructure, working with a crew of operators, drivers, foremen and project managers to deliver quality earthmoving outcomes.

You’ll operate a range of modern excavators on projects that matter — from farm developments and subdivisions to drainage and infrastructure work. You’ll work alongside a great team of operators, truck drivers, site foremen, and project managers to help shape the land and deliver exceptional results.

Day-to-day tasks may include:

• Final trim and detailed excavation
• Bulk earthworks and trenching
• Working safely around services and infrastructure
• Site preparation and environmental management
• Contributing to a high-performing and supportive team

Skills You Will Need

• Proven experience operating excavators
