Job summary

Unitec in Auckland invites a Governance & Risk Advisor to support MIT and Unitec councils, delivering robust governance and enterprise risk management across the organisations. You will coordinate Council and Committee meetings, prepare agendas and board papers, maintain governance records and annual workplans, and track actions while building strong relationships with senior leaders.

This role provides exposure to governance at the highest level within a dynamic New Zealand vocational education

We're looking for a highly organised Governance & Risk Advisor to play a pivotal role in supporting our Council, committees, and enterprise risk management activities.

About the Role

Reporting to the Legal Director, with a functional reporting line to the Council Chair, you'll provide governance and risk support across MIT and Unitec.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating Council and Committee meetings
• Preparing agendas, board papers, and meeting minutes
• Maintaining governance records, registers, and annual workplans
• Tracking actions and follow-ups
• Building strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders
