Job summary

Ōmokoroa Golf Club is seeking an experienced Golf Course Superintendent to lead maintenance, presentation and development of our course, located minutes from Tauranga. You will manage a small team with support from a 2IC and Greenkeeper, reporting to the General Manager and Board.

The role offers a full‑time leadership position with responsibility for turf, irrigation, budget planning, health and safety, and long‑term course development. A hands‑on approach and NZ residency preferred.

Qualifications

• GROWSAFE certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong knowledge of turf management, golf course presentation, and agrichemical application.
• Experience managing machinery and maintaining high‑quality playing surfaces.
• Leadership experience with small teams and volunteers.
• Good planning, budgeting and communication skills.
• A proactive, practical, and collaborative approach.
• Full New Zealand driver’s licence.

Ōmokoroa Golf Club is seeking an experienced, motivated, and hands‑on Golf Course Superintendent to lead the maintenance, presentation, and ongoing development of our course, located just minutes from Tauranga. Omokoroa is one of our fastest growing coastal towns.

With more than 800 members, thriving men’s, women’s and junior sections, and a brand‑new clubhouse nearing completion, this is an exciting time to join a club committed to excellence, sustainability, and long‑term growth.

About the Role

This is a full‑time leadership position for someone who enjoys being actively involved on the course while leading a small, capable team. Reporting to the General Manager and Board, you will oversee all aspects of course maintenance and development, supported by an experienced 2IC and qualified Greenkeeper.
