Job summary

Jaychem is seeking a Quality Technician to join our Product Quality and Quality Control team in New Zealand. You will perform sampling, inspection, and support QC laboratory activities, including FTIR testing, with a focus on GMP compliance and material handling.

The role blends warehouse-based sampling with laboratory support, reporting to the Quality Manager, and offers development within NZ\'s pharmaceutical sector.

Qualifications

• Science background or relevant scientific experience.
• GMP-regulated environment experience preferred.
• Experience in QA/QC lab work or materials sampling.
• FTIR instrument experience advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality

Responsibilities

• Sample and inspect incoming raw materials and packaging per GMP.
• Ensure materials are identified, labelled, stored, and tracked.
• Prepare and submit samples for internal and external lab testing.
• Support QC activities including FTIR testing and lab analysis.
• Maintain reference and retention samples.
• Complete documentation per GMP requirements.
• Maintain 5S and housekeeping standards.
• Adhere to Health & Safety requirements and wear PPE.
• Assist with training of new team members.
