Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a Geriatrician for Taranaki Base Hospital in New Plymouth. The role supports older people with complex health and rehabilitation needs across inpatient, outpatient, intermediate care, and community settings.

The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team, mentor junior medical staff, and participate in consultant services. Permanent and fixed-term options are available, with negotiable FTE and commencing as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• Experience in geriatric care and rehabilitation.
• Ability to work across inpatient, outpatient, intermediate care, and community settings.
• Mentor junior medical staff and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
