Job summary

Kirk Roberts Consulting Engineers Ltd in Queenstown invites a Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing team. You will work on geotechnical projects, conduct site investigations and data analysis, and prepare technical reports for clients.

Based in our Queenstown office, you’ll perform fieldwork, test and log samples, and manage project timelines while collaborating with a national team to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in civil/environmental geotechnical disciplines.
• 5 years’+ experience in a similar geotechnical role.
• Knowledge of NZ standards, building codes and statutory requirements.
• Experience with soil mechanics, slope stability and foundation engineering.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of diverse geotechnical projects across Queenstown region.
• Plan, conduct site investigations, test, sample and log fieldwork.
• Analyse data and prepare technical reports for clients.
• Manage project schedules and liaise directly with clients.
• Provide on-site observation and inspection during construction.
